Personal Giving

Corporate Giving

  • CORPORATE MATCH: Check with your employer for any possible corporate donation match opportunities.
  • VOLUNTEER PAID TIME OFF: Check with your employer if they provide any protected volunteer time to dedicate to community service.
  • DEDICATED “DAY OF GIVING”: Dedicate a portion of business sales on a designated day to be donated to Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield.
  • CORPORATE DONATION: Donate directly to Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield for Federal tax deduction.
  • SPONSOR A MEAL: Sponsor all of the meals for one day and we’ll recognize your organization to our clients and on social media if you’d like.

Planned Giving

Create a lasting legacy by including us in your long-term financial plans. These thoughtful gifts help sustain our mission for generations to come.

  • WILL/LIVING TRUST: Include a charitable bequest to Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield in your will or trust.
  • LIFE INSURANCE: Designate us as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy.
  • CHARITABLE REMAINDER TRUST: Provide income to yourself or loved ones during your lifetime, while the remainder goes to supporting Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield.
  • SAVINGS ACCOUNTS & CD’S: Name Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield as the beneficiary of bank accounts or certificates of deposit.
  • IRA GIFTS: Satisfy your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) with a qualified charitable distribution directly from your IRA. This is an off the top deduction for income tax purposes, so you do not pay any tax on the donated portion of the RMD.
  • GIFTS OF STOCKS: Donating appreciated securities can offer significant tax benefits while supporting our mission. A great way to avoid capital gains on highly appreciated stock as well as receiving a charitable donation deduction on your income taxes.

Memorial and Tribute Gifts

Your gift supports neighbors in need and lets your loved one know you’re thinking of them in a meaningful way.
  • MEMORIAL: Honor the memory of a loved one with a gift that truly makes a difference. In lieu of flowers, friends and family can make donations to support our programs in their name. We acknowledge you with a personalized thank-you letter to both you and the family (unless anonymity is requested).
  • TRIBUTE: Celebrate life’s meaningful moments – birthdays, retirements, weddings – with a donation in someone’s honor.
  • SPONSOR A MEAL: Sponsor all of the meals for one day and we’ll recognize your loved one to our clients and on social media if you’d like.
