Since 1974, Meals on Wheels has been providing nourishment to any Ridgefield resident who cannot prepare meals on their own due to age, disability or illness. We have no age or income restrictions. All meals are free of charge.

Who We Serve

  • We serve any Ridgefield resident unable to prepare their own meals due to age, disability or illness.
  • We provide meals on a short-term basis to those who are recovering from surgery or illness.
  • There are no restrictions based on age or income.

Meal Cost

  • Our meal program is free of charge, thanks to the generosity of our donors.
  • We need to raise $440,000 each year to cover our operating expenses.

Our Meals

  • Lunches and dinners are available up to 7 days/week, delivered from our commercial kitchen at Ballard Green to each client’s home.
  • We prepare nutritious and delicious meals that include fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Our seasonal menu is reviewed by a registered dietician.
  • Lunch: Sandwich, fresh salad and fruit.
  • Dinner: A hot entrée, vegetable, roll, milk, and dessert or fresh fruit.
